Top Minority-Owned Business Ranking

According to the Central Penn Business Journal’s recent Top Minority Business list, Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc. came in at #3 among the Top Minority-Owned firms in Central Pennsylvania according to revenue.

Navarro & Wright was ranked among the top women-owned and minority-owned businesses in this region.  The firm opened its doors in 1996, growing to over 70 employees today.  For 13 years, Navarro & Wright has provided engineering and related services to government and private sector firms.

Navarro & Wright is certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) with the Pennsylvania Department of General Services, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, City of Harrisburg, City of Philadelphia, City of Baltimore, Maryland Department of Transportation and the Maryland Department of General Services.

Nearly 2,000 disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) were certified in the Commonwealth in 2007, according to the PA Department of General Services. Today, in the five-county region of Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York Counties, there are 266 contractors certified. Pennsylvania has made strides in recent years in awarding public contracts to minority and women-owned businesses.
