Project Overview: Navarro & Wright conducted surveying services and provided assistance with other support tasks for approximately 1,800 manholes throughout the Beaverdam Interceptor drainage basin in Prince Georges County, Maryland. Navarro & Wright utilized a network static GPS receiver to create a grid and located all manhole positions (vertical and horizontal) using GPS rovers to within submeter accuracy. This process reduced time and effort over conventional methods and minimized interruption of traffic on congested roadways. The information collected was utilized by the Commission for developing a hydraulic model.
