Project Overview:
Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc. provided professional consulting engineering services to Bearing Construction, Inc., for engineering design and permitting of a sludge dewatering system, conveyors, pumps and controls for the City of Cambridge, Maryland. Services include site visit for verification of existing conditions of all affected equipment, performing hydraulic calculations for the belt filter press sludge pumping equipment and wash water booster pump, performing structural calculations and details for construction of a concrete sump for containment of a belt filter press filtrate. Navarro & Wright also applied for and secured a water quality management permit from Maryland Department of Environment. In conjunction with Envirodyne Systems, Inc., Navarro & Wright is selecting all dewatering process equipment. The firm also developed a process and instrumentation diagram for control of the process equipment, design and layout piping modifications for connections of all new equipment, and reviewed shop drawings and submittals for all equipment prior to installation for conformance to specifications.
