Project Overview:
Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc., surveyed, mapped and designed approximately 4000 lineal feet of existing State and Borough roadways for a beautification project in New Cumberland Borough, New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.
The site includes roadways, curbs, sidewalks, trees, utilities, traffic signals, 67 businesses and 20 residential properties. The design included the coordination and selection of materials, trees and utilities such as new street lights with underground electrical conduits and wiring extending from existing above grade electric facilities. A lighting illumination plan was prepared, primarily for aesthetic purposes to enhance the new red concrete pavers along the curbs. A sidewalk condition assessment and report was prepared and presented to property owners. Costs were prepared for the project and contract specifications prepared for public bidding of the project.
