Project Overview:
Navarro & Wright provided professional engineering services to the Newberry Township Municipal Authority (NTMA) for the design of a new influent pumping station at the wastewater treatment plant. The project encompassed engineering, permitting and bid coordination for the construction of a new influent pumping station and associated screening equipment. The Influent Pumping Station consisted of two (2) centrifugal pumps with a maximum discharge capacity of 2550 gallons per minute. The control system is equipped with a variable frequency drive (VFO) to allow minimum energy consumption. The facility was designed with screen for removal of gross solids and degritting equipment to lengthen the life of the pumps and reduce downstream tank maintenance.
