Project Overview: Construction of a segmental block wall approximately 490 feet long and ranging in height from three feet to twenty-two feet. The project also included the widening of Swatara Street (Upper) to create additional parking for area residents. A new stormwater collection system was designed and a landscape plan developed to enhance the wall design. The additional parking and widening of the street was welcomed by area residents and enabled the Borough Fire Department to have greater accessibility and maneuverability in this area of the Borough. Expanded stormwater facilities reduced winter icing conditions.
