P3 Rapid Bridge Replacement Program

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) utilized a Public Private Partnership (P3) delivery method to replace 558 of approximately 4,000 structurally deficient bridges in just three years. Working for several contract holders, Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc. (N&W) provides geotechnical engineering, environmental assessment, survey, civil engineering, and noise and air quality services for bridges located throughout the Commonwealth.

Mega Energy Operating, Inc.

Rights-of-way and edges of existing county cartways, driveways, structures, access roadways, swales, power utility poles, gas lines and physical features were surveyed and mapped for 4.5 miles to select alignment for construction of a natural gas line in Owego, Tioga County, New York. The plans were prepared and alignments were reviewed based on topographical and physical features. Details of existing drainage features were included in the plans. These plans were presented by Mega Energy to Tioga County for construction.

Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority Addison Road Extension

Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc. provided precision layout for the installation of new rails for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, along the Blue Line Extension between the Addison Road Metro Station and the new stations in Largo. Routes 15 & 581 Interchange Survey

Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc. conducted all ground surveys to supplement aerial photography conducted by District 8-0 and generate base mapping for this large highway project, which includes approximately six miles of state highway, four overpasses, two railroad crossings, and other large drainage structures. Carlisle Stryker Brigade Readiness Center and Field Maintenance Shop

Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc. provided surveying services at the Carlisle Armory to Lobar Associates for the new 37,238-square-foot Readiness Center and the new, 25,080-square-foot Field Maintenance Shop. N&W provided stakeout for buildings and all infrastructure including parking lots, storm sewer, retention ponds, sanitary sewer, gas lines, and water lines. Navarro & Wright fees totaled to $40,000. Construction cost for the total project was estimated around $16 million.
